The Kangaroo Tour, a sprinting tour in the Down Under, is won by Franz Amelung once again. YC was won by Gustavo Anton, who rode a good tour himself too, finishing 2nd.He was only 23 years old. The big surprise for me was the even younger Belgian rider. Tom Vangale finished 3rd, securing a wild card for his team.
Franz rode a good prologue, finishing in front of all other favorites, only the American sprinter, Champion was ahead of him.
The second stage was a stage which Franz won last year too. He knew the the road, so easy win there.
In the third, Ketil got a chance to shine, because the team was in need of money for the upcoming deals. Also this road was made for Boisen, so we were confident for a podium stage. However, Ketil and Andres fell in the sprint, along with few others. Ketil ended 112th as a captain, but luckily not injured too.
Franz had to put things right in the 4th stage and he did. He felt good that day, and won the stage only a few inches in front of sprinting veteran Mullan.
In the King stage, things got a bit tricky. Franz launched the sprint, but he wasn't aware of Gustavo being in his wheel. This way Gustavo had a perfect sprint and Franz just wasn't strong enough to do it all by himself. He finished right after Gustavo, but he ensured the second jersey of the season for the team.
Looking foward to trigger Franz's top form for the Nederlandse, we are ready for it!

Thanks man! The only thing I am hoping for now is no more injuries before day 79 :p
Congratz and GL in Nederlandse. He might do well there, too especially with the TF.
Oh yes, DCM had the same problem as I expected more from him too.
dp was too low as it started at around 75. Should not have raced the race two days before
Thanks :) Your riders didn't do well indeed. I think it was due the age of your LO's. (Who all retired after the tour?)
Nice victory there. I did not do well
Losada will do good for sure! As hillers mostly require a high max (besides a high hill stat ofc). Good luck with him and rebuilding your team!
At this moment, my sprinters are not good enough for top / zyte division. It is always a bit disapointing but not surprising that they usually go for 15th place or so.
Now I need to max and probably also TT center Losada and bring him better support so selling the sprinters seems to be the plan.
Good luck with the hills! I am thinking about starting a second squad too, probably hill or cobbles, because they can use some LO's :)
I already have deals for Eilif and Cyrus, Casper is for sale as well.
Kafka, Sojka and Buben will probably stay as lead outs for hillers. Kafka as my first captain will wait for retirement with me;-)
Well, see you than! Are you going to sell them all?
Congratz, defending the title in Kangaroo is great achievment! And good luck in Nederlandse!
I might be there as well but only because it would be nice farewell party for my sprinters ;-)
